A licence must be obtained before conducting a gaming event. You cannot hold an event until a licence has been issued.

How to Apply
All applications must be submitted online using the Gaming Online Service.
Some Service BC offices may also be able to assist with the application process in person.
If additional information is required to assess an application, the application is considered incomplete until all information is received. This may impact processing time.
Before you apply, review applicant eligibility and have all the information needed for your application.

Application Fees
The cost to apply for a charitable gaming event licence depends on the licence class and projected gross revenue from your event. Projected gross revenue is the total amount you expect to raise before expenses are deducted. For detailed information on fees, refer to the Licensed Charitable Gaming Event Guidance.
Class A

Application Processing Times
Due to recent changes to gaming event licence classes and updates to the Gaming Online Service (GOS), processing times are currently under review. At this time, applications for all licence classes must be submitted at least 10 business days prior to the event start date to allow sufficient time for processing. This is a minimum timeframe only.

After you apply
While your licence application is under review, you can check your application status by accessing the Application Status Report in GOS.
