All lottery retailers and lottery retailer contract managers in British Columbia must be registered with the Independent Gambling Control Office (IGCO) to ensure that high standards of honesty, integrity, and financial responsibility are met.

Who needs to register
You need to register with the IGCO if you are the following:
- Lottery Retailers: Companies that hold a Lottery Retailer Agreement (LRA) with the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) to sell lottery tickets
- Lottery Retailer Contract Managers: Employees responsible for LRA contract oversight
How to apply
When you are ready, download and print the appropriate form below. Complete the form and email to Lottery.Registration@igcobc.ca or mail or courier it, along with supporting documents and the application fee, to the Independent Gambling Control Office. See courier addresses for details.

Lottery retailers are required to provide a copy of their business licence with their application.
Fees
Lottery retailers
The application fee is $150 per site. All application fees are non-refundable and must be paid in Canadian dollars.
Contract managers
The application fee is $150. All application fees are non-refundable and must be paid in Canadian dollars.
Registration term
The term for both lottery retailers and contract managers is typically 5 years.
After you apply
Once an application has been submitted, the IGCO will verify that all required information and documents have been submitted and process the application fee. If your application is missing information, you will be contacted by the IGCO.
Background checks
A background check will be completed as part of the application process and may include an interview, a credit history, criminal record check, police information and online searches. This ensures high standards of honesty, integrity, and financial responsibility.
